ALL: Our mouths tell of the wonderful works of our God.
LEADER: We are a people blessed for all eternity, anointed with the oil of gladness.
ALL: Our hands are lifted in praise to the One who sits on the throne.
LEADER: We are God’s children in the Kingdom of righteousness and justice.
ALL: Our lives give praise to the Lord in honorable and holy living.
LEADER: Let the fragrance of our praise and worship arise this day to the King.
ALL: All glory to his name forever and ever!
Prayer of Confession and Pardon | Psalm 15
May be used before communion or following the opening hymn
ALL: Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we desire to worship you and walk blamelessly in your sight. We confess that we have not loved you or others with holy love. We have not spoken truthfully and done what is right in your eyes. We have not treated our neighbors with the selfless compassion of Christ. We know that you desire us to dwell in your sanctuary in peace. Forgive us today as we confess our sin silently before you.
-silence for individual confession-
LEADER: Friends, hear the good news.
When we confess our sin God is faithful
and just to forgive us.
In the name of Jesus Christ we are forgiven people
and through the power of Christ
we will not be shaken! Amen!
Let’s continue to celebrate in worship
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
